Each month on the 1st Tuesday at 7pm (CST), the Art & Grace Sharing Circle meets to connect through art and faith with each other. If you would like to join this free Zoom meeting, contact Noël.
This sharing circle is bound together by the following promises:
As creators, God seekers, and makers, we gather as celebrants of our art. We recognize that our creativity is a reflection of the Creator and enter into this space to seek healing, renewal and community through our shared faith and artistic expression. To protect this grace-filled space, and the vulnerability of artistic expression, we make the following promises to one another:
This space is a confidential space. What is created, spoken, or confessed within this circle remains here. We promise to make space for the joys, sorrows, healing, and fears of our fellow artists, without judgment.
We promise to show up for each other through active listening and patience. We honor that each of us has a unique pace of self-expression and healing.
We promise to seek grace over perfection, challenging ourselves to grow beyond the pressure of performance and comparison. In this space, our art does not need to be market-ready, polished, or flawless; it only needs to be honest.
We promise to celebrate the diverse expressions, mediums, and backgrounds represented in our circle and to hold space for one another’s differences. We will seek to offer empathy and encouragement to our fellow artists.
Through these promises, we can come together and express our God-given creativity by seeking our God-given wholeness through art.
